Imbricata is not just a environmental consultancy - we are involved in conservation projects across Australia and abroad.
As a contribution to conservation groups in WA, Imbricata compiled, analysed and reported on a decade of turtle data collected by the Care for Hedland Turtle Monitoring Program lead by Kelly Howlett. The report showcases the importance of the Port Hedland area to nesting and resident turtles - mainly flatback and green turtles. It pulls together all previous turtle surveys conducted in the area (e.g. Outer Harbour EIA and Pretty Pool Development) to provide a comprehensive report of turtles in the area. It also compares GAM models using track data with flipper tagging data collected during the nesting period.
